Skilled hands. Safe, warm homes for our neighbors.
Tools for Good repairs and replaces windows and doors at no cost for seniors and veterans who can't afford the work. Know someone who's cold or unsafe at home this winter? Tell us.
Funded by $100 from every completed Men With Tools project. No cost to the family. No sales calls, ever.
A drafty window isn't a small thing at 80.
When the windows leak and the front door won't lock, it means cold rooms, heating bills that climb every month, and not feeling safe at night. Many of our neighbors who served this country, or spent forty years in the same house, can't take on a repair like that. Our crews can.
How it works
Step 1 · Nominate
Tell us about a senior or veteran who needs help, or nominate yourself. It takes about three minutes.
Step 2 · We verify
A local community partner confirms the need, privately and respectfully.
Step 3 · We do the work
Our licensed crews repair or replace the windows and doors that matter most for safety and warmth.
Step 4 · The family decides
They choose whether to share their story or stay completely anonymous.
Who we help
- Seniors age 62 or older, or U.S. military veterans
- Who own and live in the home
- In New Jersey or Staten Island
- Who need window or door repairs to be safe and warm
- And can't reasonably afford the work right now
Not sure they qualify? Nominate them anyway. We review every nomination.
Windows and doors only, for now.
Local Impact
Areas We Serve
Making a Difference, One Home and One Community at a Time.
At Men With Tools, we believe giving back starts right here at home. Through our Tools for Good initiative, we're proud to support individuals, families, and communities throughout Staten Island, NY, and Northern New Jersey, including Hudson and Essex Counties. Our mission goes beyond improving homes — it's about changing lives, lending a helping hand, and making a lasting difference in the neighborhoods we proudly serve. Because when our communities thrive, we all thrive.

$100 from every completed project. Every time.
Each time a homeowner completes a project with The Men With Tools, $100 goes to Tools for Good. That money buys materials. Our installers donate their time and skill. We will publish what we raise, and every home we complete, in an annual impact report.

Our promise to every family
No sales calls. Ever.
Nominating someone never puts them, or you, on a sales list. We will never call, text, or email a nominee or nominator to sell anything.
Their story, their choice.
Families decide whether we share their name, their photo, or nothing at all.
Same crews, same standards.
Every Tools for Good home gets the same licensed installers, the same permits, and the same care as every paid project.
Nominate someone (or yourself)
Nominations for our first homes are open through January 15, 2027. Everyone who submits will hear back from us by January 31.
Partner with us
Churches, VFW and American Legion posts, senior centers, and neighborhood groups often know the families who need help long before we do. Partner with Tools for Good and help us reach them. It costs your group nothing.

What partners do
- Share the nomination form with your members
- Help us confirm need, privately, for families you know
- Spread the word in your bulletin, newsletter, or social page
With your permission, we'll recognize your group on this page and in our annual impact report.
Help us reach more homes
Every completed Men With Tools project already gives $100. Your gift helps us reach more seniors and veterans, faster, by helping buy the windows, doors, and materials for local homes.
